About

The Deep Water Project is a historical journey of the Temiskaming region.

Twelve songs cover a wide range of topics, from the formation of the rift that formed Lake Temiskaming, the indigenous people who first populated the land, the arrival of fur traders, the steamships and railway that brought the early settlers, the boom and bust of logging and mining and the challenges of many devastating fires.

Local museums and books written by many local authors provide valuable insight into the rich history that shaped what and who we are.
